To empower the immigrant youths of the San Gabriel Valley

The Jeff Sein Kwan Yang Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors who meet the following requirements:
graduating from a San Gabriel Valley high school;
is an immigrant or child of an immigrant; AND
committed to serving the immigrant community in some aspect.

It is open to students of all ethnic backgrounds. Students from low income or working class families are especially encouraged to apply. 

Receipient(s) will receive five hundred dollars ($500) to use for tuition and educational fees. The awardee(s) will be notified in two weeks from the time of the application deadline.

How To Apply

Download the application: 
		application (in MS Word) or application (PDF)

2) Fill out the application and attach:
	A) a Resume that highlights your work and volunteer experience;
	B) a copy of your Transcript (unofficial is acceptable);
	C) a print out of your Student Aid Report (SAR), which is sent 
		to you after you have completed the 
		Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); And
	D) an essay that is no more than 500 words explaining how you 		will give back to the immigrant community after you finish 			your studies.
	You may include additional information, such as exceptional 	hardships, personal responsibilities, and educational goals and 	objectives, on a separate sheet of paper.
